Populating an ubumenu inside a poly~

Hi everyone,

I’m still trying to figure out my midi-controlled sample player
patch. I’d like to have ubumenus with the buffer names inside a poly~
64, to get a 64-voice sample player.

Is it possible to use ubumenu’s inside poly~?
I get the impression that this is where my patch fails… the
ubumenu’s with the buffer names won’t populate and therefore the
groove~’s won’t play…

Thanks for any suggestions!

I just did a very simple check with an auto-populating ubmenu inside of a poly, and it populated fine.

there are no object restrictions that come to mind when using poly~. read the poly~ documentation fully.

I would avoid an ubumenu inside a poly~ though it should work, but to
access the discs catalog for each voice of the poly~ seems overkill. Why
don’t you use the folder object to fill a coll in your main patch? Then
you can reference the coll inside the poly~. I have some abhaXions which
pass data between menus and coll by the way, this could inspire you how
to do it…
