I wonder whether someone could help me finding a way to transform a positive float (constantly changing) into its negative. Both should have the same distance from 0.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, multiplying by -1 will do it.

Don't worry. I once had an exchange with a frustrated beginner who was upset that there wasn't an "invert~" object. I guess that the interesting thing was that the person with whom I corresponded was *still* upset after discovering the reason for why we didn't have such an object.

but i believe it should also be possible to change the sign

of a float via bitwise operation, that should be faster than

doing * -1. - which i believe is what expr -$f1 will also do.

expr normally starts making sense for more than one operation.
