Hi, is there anyway I can change the post() output from "js" to a user-provided string, much like is possible with MAX print?

thx. Lee

Hi,

Nope * 2

For question 1, obviously you can add anything you like to a post() call

Here is an example of using the error command instead of the post one.

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

var redisdead = 0;
declareattribute("redisdead");

function setTheString()
{
if (redisdead)
error(arrayfromargs(arguments), "n");
else
post(arrayfromargs(arguments), "n");
}
