Preserving quotes when using sprintf with the text object

August 9, 2007 | 9:38 am

Hi,

out of curiosity, why do I have to do it as illustrated below to
preserve quotes when adding text to the text object?

Thanks,
Trond

#P window setfont "Sans Serif" 9.;
#P window linecount 1;
#P newex 323 245 40 196617 t clear;
#P newex 273 278 40 196617 text;
#P newex 244 243 25 196617 t cr;
#P message 309 181 51 196617 preserve;
#P message 273 181 30 196617 keep;
#P newex 273 213 259 196617 sprintf My question: \\""How do I %s the
quotes?\\"";
#P connect 0 0 3 0;
#P connect 0 0 4 0;
#P connect 0 0 5 0;
#P connect 2 0 0 0;
#P connect 1 0 0 0;
#P connect 5 0 4 0;
#P connect 3 0 4 0;
#P window clipboard copycount 6;
