Problem with arduino. help me!

I have 4 faders connected to 4 leds(pwm output) on arduino.
The value of slider control the brightness of led.
To do this I tried arduino2max. The problem is the leds are flickering.
The values are pretty stable since I divide 1023 by 8. I get 0 to 127.
If I unplug the usb cable they don’t flicker anymore.
They only flicker when connected to arduino2max patch.

So I tried to build the patch myself.
Now the problem is everytime I close the patch max got frozen.
Actually, it doesn’t quit. I try force quit…still the same.
I can’t even shut down the computer. I have to force shut down.
Before closing the patch, it just works fine..
This patch doesn’t have flickering problem.

I want to fix either flickering problem of first one or freezing problem of second one.
Anyone is fine for me.

Can anyone please help me?

If I can’t fix any of those problem in the end, I have to go for the first one.
First one works fine except that flickering which really bothers me.
