metro runs with patch open but not closed into Live

Can you give detailed instructions how to reproduce the issue?

I'm using metro with @active 1 on a regular basis and never had a problem.

This is a messy sketch of a step sequencer

I've tried your patch and for me the metro runs regardless if the patch is open or closed.

does it also always start at the same point when Live runs from start?

In my experience, for perfect sync you need the quantize attribute (with the same value as interval).

i get on fine with @active 1 if i want to metro to be always running with lives transport, but if i want to start it independent of lives transport @quantize works, basically what broc said.
