When I get into the video settings to attempt to rectify the format, it automatically reverts to SECAM. The resultant display on the preview/monitor is fragmented screen areas and about half as many lines of pixels, although you can just about make out that the camera is indeed picking up the environment.

Is this a codec thing? I am on windows and I downloaded the relevant digitizing software as per the help file (VDig and Abstract Plane). Can anyone help?
