problem with texture fringes

hi all,
i am seeing white fringes on texture borders, using tex_map with a bit of
zooming i get rid of that but with media which has alpha channel does edges
still show.
does anybody have this problem, is it the media which was preperd wrong or
is there some switch or mode to take care of this. i have gone thru the
texture modes but nothing.

If you could send an example patch and a media file link to download,
we can check it out. Its a bit hard to tell whats going on. Are you
on a Mac OS X or XP?

i tried to isolate, and i cant reproduce, i think its something related to
the scale or the texture dim.
