Problem writing buffer to quoted file path with spaces

Hi,
I've read through many posts about properly placing quotations around file paths that contain spaces, and I believe I'm doing this correctly. However, I'm still having a problem with buffer~ not interpreting the file path correctly and resulting in an error that indicates the quoted file path argument to writeaiff is being interpreted as multiple arguments. If I enter the same message in a message object and trigger it, the buffer is successfully saved to the file. The enclosed patcher demonstrates the behavior I'm seeing. Could anyone offer a solution?
Thanks,
Steve

replace your sprint to this: sprintf symout %s/file%d.aiff

I could've sworn I had tried that. Thanks a lot Chris!
