problems with chained cameras Fire-i

Hello all,

I’ve posted previously about a patch with 2 chained fire-i
1 b&w and the other color
on Mac Osx 10.6.4
Max 5.1.5
the fire-i cameras are connected through the firewire 800 port on the MacBook Pro
I’m using a cable 400 to 800 (I’ve tested as well with a firewire hub 400 and through a
La Cie HD 800 (with 400 ports)

The problem seems with the color camera (tested with 2 different color camera)
There is a delay with a simple patch. Sometimes the delay makes the fps goes 5 fps lower
on a patch more complexe.

Here’s my test patch

can someone tell me if they had the same problem and what I can do to correct.

I used the same patch on an older version of snow leopard and Max 5.1.3

Seems like when I set the cameras in manual mode
it runs smoother.

Hi I am sorry this is not about this subject, I saw that almost 6 months ago you send it a patch to somebody that was able to detect when red color appear on an image. I was looking for the patch but I was not able to find it.
It would be possible if you send me an example.
I do not know if you could post it here.
thanks

So nobody is using 2 cameras chained together ?

Please let me know if you a have found a solution for the delay.

I have a show on saturday and it seems I’ll have to accept the cameras shot down during the show :-(
