Problems with granular synthesis and FM synth VOWELS

Hello! i am new to this forum and indeed the max/msp world so nice to meet you all! i have been given the task of creating a max patch which can recreate a human voice saying the vowels a e i and o (not u for some reason). but i have been getting no where! i cant find any objects to help! ive nealy given up! also ive been asked to do a frequency modulator synth to create a bell, trumpet and clarinet sounds! it really isnt going well! if you can help at all please do! happy new year people! the graphs look awfully familiar (think filtergraph~.help)

That should put you on the right track for the vowels, and a bit more
googling should take care of the fm synthesis as well.
