I wrote a Maxmsp app a few years ago that ran fine from Mac OS 10.4 through 10.9.

In 10.9.1 it hung or crashed when running.

I updated to maxmsp 6.1.6. I recompiled and it no long crashes. But the audio input is a mess. Sometimes there's no input at all... then it get blips of data then cuts out again.

After dinking around for a couple of hours Im at a loss as to what to look for.

Could this be related to having ProTools on the same system and their coreaudio driver?

Maybe it's just an issue with 10.9.1 and we have to wait for Apple to fix it?

Any tips and guidance appreciated to further diagnose/fix this issue.
