I cannot get the folder object to work beyond a few levels down in the file hierarchy on my windows xp, max 5.07. See below for an example

Is it broken? Umenu with the prefix command populates as expected.

FYI it works fine here (os 10.5.7, max-5.07).

are you *sure* that your folder exists ? (no typo, etc)

Yes it is very strange, I opened the path with the opendialog to be sure that there is no typo. As stated the path populates a umenu just fine using the prefix command.

I have spent a few hours trying to get it to work on many many paths so I am fairly certain that the problem is real.

Using a workaround now with a umenu and uzi but folder is what I need.
