have been working on a uni assignment for 3 weeks now. it is to be handed in 2 morro. after adding the aka wii object, the patch or program seems to have crashed or something. when i try to open it i only get the text window on my screen. the patcher window seems to have disappeared. i have gone true all the settings but cant seem to figure it out. this all happen after taking a break and restarting the program.

im wondering if the patch is corrupted or something, if it is, i am in a lot of trouble.

can anyone please see if they can open the patch on their computer and tell me what is wrong with it or even better help me fix this problem. here is a link to the patch :

pressing the command and shift key when opening (disable loadbang) does not help either. :(

Try opening it in a text editor and checking the JSON is valid, there are plenty of online resources for this. You could also search for and remove the [aka.wiiremote] parts of the text file and then try saving it as a new maxpat and re-opening.

erm.... JSON, to be honest i havent got a clue about what json means. i am a max msp noob and this is my second patch to be handed in as uni work.

have opened it in a text editor, but i just get a lot of weird characters and stuff. don't know what to do.

Are you using max4 or max5? If it is a max5 patch then the format is called JSON and you can check to see if it is ship-shape 

. You should be able chop out the relevant { "box" : { ... } } which refers to [aka.wiiremote] and see if this is the object causing you problems.

it's a max 4 binary file, try to file->"open as text...", then copy all the text and paste it in a new patch.

it has worked for me many times, but for your patch, i get no connections between objects :(

manage to open as a text file , but it will not open as a new patch, i will try and "debug" the script and remove objects/lines that could have something to do with the wii object. even tho i haven't got a clue on what to look for.
