I'm trying to make a patch that tracks color scanning a matrix from left to right to produce a variable pitch in a sound. I have the color tracking/sound making thing done, but i cant find the way to make jit.findbounds to scan first column 1, then 2, to track for example a diagonal line drawn in the image and report it's height from left to right.

Im trying something similar, before buying Max I was doing all of this by hand using a string quartet and now I would like Max to read the scores from left to right at the speed of the red line moving across(on the video) instead of a string quartet. My website has a video of the acoustic score realized * www.jonbarrios.com. I have been able to get the sound 2 video going in Max but I have little control as to reading each line, specially diagonal lines like you mentioned. Not to mention accurately! Unfortunately I don't have a solution but im also interested in a solution. I did see a couple videos of this work very well but just cant figure it out, I just started with Max so I get in headlocks easily! Here is the video, maybe you can figure it out?
