Just thought I'd put up a quick post to say that if you ever wanted access to ProRes, but didn't want to spend the £850 on Final Cut Studio you're now in luck! Apple just announced Final Cut Pro X which is now cheaper, but also Compressor 4 which is only a £30 download on the App Store. Once installed you can export ProRes 420/4444 directly from the App or get the quicktime components via software update.
