Question about downloading please

Because of my bad english speaking it’s difficult for me understanding all what is written on cycling’74 site as well as mails from cycling’74.

I’d like to buy the Student Discout 9-month Max/MSP/Jitter (only available as a download, but not on CD). The fact is that my computer which is connected to Internet is a PC, but I’m going to install MAX/MSP/Jitter on a MAC computer (which is volontary no connected to Internet. I thought it was possible for me downloading the soft on my PC, then saving it on a USB key (or a R-CD)and at last installing it on the MAC from the USB key (or the R-CD) ; do you know if it’s possible to proceed in this way because when I asked cycling’74 support they answer me : “You cannot put it on an iLok/USB key”.

Thanks so much
Cordially from France

Hello zined,

you can download max/MSP installer on your PC, copy the file on a USB key, copy the file on your MAC, and install it ; that’s what i did to install and do for update ; BUT you NEED to connect your MAC on cycling74 website to AUTHORIZE it (just few seconds).

I don’t know cycling74 policy about challenge/response way, so you may ask info to challenge@cycling74.com, if you really can’t connect your MAC to web.

Denis
