Question regarding 'Max Basic Tutorial 7: Numerical User Interfaces'

March 26, 2014 | 1:28 pm

Here is an excerpt from the tutorial 7.

When you move the sliders, you might be surprised by some of the interim values that you see. This is based on the way in which the interface objects calculate their output: the objects maintain an internal value from 0 to the range (maxmin – 1).

Could anyone kindly tell me what "max – min – 1" mean in this context?

Thank you in advance,
Masa

this means that the range is determined by the following equation : max – min – 1 = range
this leads to confusion, because you can set the range, but not the max
so you can get the max : max = min + range + 1

Thanks you very much for your reply VICHUG.
I failed to see "max – min – 1" as a equation.
