QUICK BIT OF HELP NEEDED PLEEEEEASE!!

May 14, 2008 | 10:02 am

Hi Max fans,

Just a quick one for you all.

I need to know which objects can do the following. There are two things.

Firstly i need an object which will receive four numbers from floats and calculate the range (or difference) between the highest and lowest values.

Secondly i need an object which can be constantly receiving a changing integer from a float but when banged will output which ever number it is receiving.

Please please please can someone help me, my demo expires in 8 days and i gotta get this patch finished for uni.

Aaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

It sounds like you might want to have a look to [pack], [minimum],
[maximum], [-] and maybe [abs] object.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean here.

Don’t forget there’s also tutorials that can help you to start with Max.

Cheers,

You started the demo without going through the tutorials for 22 days? It
will take you maximum 3 days to do the tutorials (if you don’t go
swimming)… ;-)
5 days left to finish your patch… Within the 3 days you’d have
answered your questions, or understood the solutions posted already…

If that’s not enough, you learned a different lesson…
(there is also a 9 month license available for students btw…)

But beware, it might happen that you fall in love with Max, then just
get your license before your studentship expires, will save you some $$$…

I won’t tell your girl friend, but she probably will find out herself…

Good luck, and in case the above happens, you probably also find out
that capital letters don’t speed things, they slow it down, they are too
heavy…

Ah…end of semester time.

I think at this point in my life my internal sense of time is pretty
much calibrated by salient events on the Max list. As soon as
questions about how to use [float] come up I know it must be spring…
