[radiaL] Effects window

The selecting of presets in the effects window is still not working - I've
contacted tech support about this previously. However, I've just found a
simple workaround - Apple +Ctrl click in the relevant effect window produces
a contextual menu, one of the options being to copy all from program, and
then you can select one of the presets from there.

Perhaps some version information might be helpful. If you mean,
say, using the pop-up menu at the top of Swish to recall the
presets, it's working fine for me (current versions of radiaL and
pluggo). Or at least it was this afternoon......

Yep.

MacIntel 10.4.9
current radiaL download
current beta of pluggo [which is probably 3.6.1 by now]

IT seems to work fine here.

Macbook Pro core 2 duo 2.16 1 gig

radial 1.5 beta
Pluggo Jnr. 3.6.1

Also, had the same issue with the previous ppc version of radial and pluggo
jnr. on my ibook g4 - wrote to tech support and they said it was a kown bug
and gave a me a workaround that didn't work. The APPle/ctrl key combo does
though...

This seems to be a RadiaL bug.

There's a simple and serviceable workaround-

"use ctrl-click inside the pluggo plugin window, then copy from another
program and then select the preset."

Best-

This problem, which I see occasionally, and also a problem with VSTi control being a little flaky, are known. Both problems can sometimes be made to go away by repeatedly reloading the plug. It's great that this contextual menu workaround exists for the presets problem, thanks for reporting that.

The bad news is that these intermittent bugs are in MaxMSP and Pluggo code. I'll snoop around, but at this stage I'm not confident at all that we shall be able to get fixes in for them for the release of radiaL 1.5

Are there any other problems with preset loading in non-Pluggo plugs? Do we need a way to somehow force preset changes?
