RAM Status

I was just wondering that is it possible to learn Ram Status in Max? (In example free, wired and active memory)

If I am not wrong, Adstatus or dspState objects don’t have any feature to show the ram status (double checked from the referance manual)

Thanks in advance,

Mehmet Can Ozer

ps: I am on Mac, OS X 10.5.4 and Max 5.0.4

I think it is possible using [shell] by Bill Orcut (Mac only). I think
it was Jeremy Bernstein that made an UB version of this brilliant external…

Maybe you can get some ideas from this patch I made a loooong time ago:

Thanks a lot for patches. All I needed was the “shell” object. I could only find C extension and help file (from maxobjects.com). Do you know where can I get this object?

Is yours working fine on Max 5 also?
