rchoose?

March 6, 2008 | 5:51 pm

I’m tinkering with the granular synthesis patch in the Max/MSP examples folder, and I’ve come across the rchoose object. It seems to simply choose a (seemingly random) number in a range specified as the arguments to the object. I can’t find any documentation fo rchoose however, or a help patch. And, I can only find one mention of it in the forums. If this is all that the object does, it’s a task that can be performed with random, obviously. Has this object been deprecated? Does it do anything special that can’t be done with random?

Thanks,
Brennon

It’s not an object, but rather an abstraction. Double-click to see
exactly what it does.
