readfloat32()

June 2, 2006 | 8:30 pm

Hi,
does readfloat32 take care of parsing whitespace etc. for you? Or do
you have to seek to the first number in the text file and then call
that method?

thanks,
wes

Sounds like you’ll want to use string’s parseFloat() method or some
other regexp based solution. readfloat32() is for reading binary
floats from files (and in MaxMSP 4.5.7, only in platform native byte
ordering, fixed in the next Max release).
