Reading Forum from Different Computers

Hey folks,

I frequently read this forum from two different computers–one at home and one in my office. I have both set to keep me logged into the forum. However, what I have found is that if I use my home computer, my office one gets logged out and vice versa. This forum is the only one I regularly read in which that happens. All the other forums I read keep me logged in from both computers. Is there something I need to change in my settings to stay logged in? Granted it’s not a huge deal, just wondering. BTW, both computers are Mac OS 10.4.11 and I’m using the latest version of Firefox as my browser. Thanks.

FWIW, Facebook requires a fresh login whenever I switch the computer I’m accessing from, or even just switching from Firefox to Safari on the same machine. So it’s not as if C74 is the only one in the universe.

I suppose it’s a convenience vs. security issue.

With Firefox’s keychain service it’s not really an inconvenience (although that reduces the security again… ;-)

Hey Peter,

Yeah, I figure it has something to do with the way the browser is setting cookies. I actually don’t get asked to log into Facebook when I switch computers. Like I said, it’s no big deal, I was just wondering. Thanks.
