i am trying to use a text file that will be saved frequently on a web server location. the contents of the text file will be a single integer or a float number.

the java for reading a local file works perfectly. but i will be using a server application to process images with facial expressions from mobile apps and remote webcams. the processed result will be stored as a integer or float number on one single line.

the java that works, reading from a local file is below;

    filename = "/c:maxtestfile/test.txt";

    typelist = new Array("iLaF" , "maxb" , "NUMBER" );

    f = new File(filename, access, typelist);

    while(f.isopen && f.position < f.eof ){

        x = parseInt(f.readline(1) + "\n");

Does any know a simple way to implement a readURL to access a text file?
