Real time spectral analysis data

July 5, 2013 | 7:54 am

Hello,

I would like to obtain real time data out of a Sonogram or Spectrogram of a sound in order to identify its spectral content (frequencies, amplitudes and, if possible, formants).

I have been using the spectroscope~ and I’ve tried to get the data array from it but I haven’t been able. Could you recommend a method to do this or objetcs/ideas that could make this possible?

Thanks in advance!

That link doesn’t work when clicking, although copy-paste is fine. Forum bug?

+1 for spectroscope~ to output this information…it obviously knows it, please tell us! :)

I’m a big fan of descriptorsrt~ from the Alex Harker externals:
