Really simple problem about controlling amplitude

Hi,
I am still a noobie at max, this is such a simple problem and yet I can figure it out. I want to simply control the amplitude of this… or basically to make it louder

If you’re just starting out, this is probably most convenient and quick:

Although Raja’s patch is very neat and convenient, a more standard way of controlling amplitude is to pass the signal through a [*~] object, and send a float in the other inlet between 0-1 (0-100% of the signal). The [*~] object allows a lot more accuracy and range than the gain~ object, but the gain~ object is easy on the eyes! (and mouse).
