recognize humans and sending a message to an external engine

I need to make 3 heads of Mannequins in a display window to rotate towards people who pass by it.
I’m new to Max.
I have the engines, I just need something that will tell it where and when to rotate. is there a ready patch for it? or anybody can tell me what should I do? it’s for a school project, thanks a lot! :)

There’s tons of ‘interactive’ shop window experiments. How about you do your research and come back with specific questions?

Hi, thanks for the reply, can you please give me a clue how to even start this research?

Seriously… I put ‘interactive shop window’ in a search engine and I get tons of links, the first one already a nice starting point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yuZtYrirPQ

Have you even tried?

Since this is a school project, may I ask what study/course it is?

These would probably be useful: http://jmpelletier.com/cvjit/

I used a combination of [cv.jit.faces] and [cv.jit.track] to make this: http://youtu.be/8x0wvrufAlA

The Kinect is pretty good for tracking multiple people in three dimensions too. Search the forum, I’ve gotten practically all of my guidance doing that.
