Recognize presentation mode with a message

Hi all,

is there a way for a patch to recognize when it’s in presentation or in locked mode? I was thinking about a method to automatically disable keycommands when editing the patch (something like [key]–>[gate]–>[sel etc. etc.], where the gate is open when it receives a “presentation 1″ message)

Thanks in advance

Hi,
you could use this:
<code>

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

Hi,

If you are Max 5 and Macintosh you can use my [quebec] external (on my github) for that ; it reports locked 0/1 mode.

@Helmuth thank you, but actually I need the opposite, I need something that reports when a patch is in or off locked mode…so:

@Nicolas, that external would be great, but I’m on Max6..no hope to see your [quebec] available for version 6 in the future?

@Nicolas, I tried [quebec] in Max 6.1.2 and it seems to work!

Hi,

All my externals should work with Max 6 whereas with Max 6.1 i’m not sure at all.

I did not read seriously the 32/64 bits notice from the SDK. Anyway i can not test them and so i can not guarantee the behavior.

Even if it should be easy, i have no plan to port them for Windows nor Max 6 in the future. I prepare to switch to GNU/Linux as soon as possible and i have no more time / money / pleasure to follow Mac OS in the run.

Does this report presentation as well as locked?

@Lee: For now, it doesn’t report presentation / patching mode. But i guess it would be useful ;-)

Ok, i have edited [quebec]. Now, it should reports “presentation 0/1″ mode.
