I'm about to pick myself up a new 8 in 8 out audio interface and I'm starting to get excited about the idea of experimenting with multichannel audio at home. Any recommendations as to something with ok audio quality at a reasonable price? My first thoughts went towards amassing a few sets of cheap studio monitors or maybe some mini guitar amps (i.e. pignoses, quickly trashed that idea when I remembered what they actually sound like).

Recommendations for compact powered speakers?
