I am working with Record~ and its ability to change the start and end times in which sound is recorded into the buffer. I am looking to create a feedback palimpsest effect, in which I write over just a piece of the buffer, but leave the rest intact.
It works, sometimes, but when I actually start creating sequences with qlist and Ircam’s Antescofo, the starting and ending points are completely WRONG! It works in laboratory-like isolation, but when I actually try to play and then record and repeat the process, the object is really frustrating.
Is there something I am doing wrong, or some work around to get this to be consistent and sample accurate? Could it be that my computer’s processor just can’t handle the task? I am using a Macbook pro with pretty decent power, and the CPU is not being overwhelmed…
Any help would be great!

it’s hard to help you on this without an example patch
