record melody, replay it

August 25, 2011 | 6:50 pm

HI all,
I’m tying to find the most efficient way to record random melodies and than replay them.
Once I have them I’d like to do permutations and inverse melodies, but I can’t find a way with [detonate] and [follow].
So I’ve come to [borax] for recording them in coll and having control of delays.
But I don’t know now how to replay them properly.

this is what i did, and I can’t say I’m happy with it *_*
Thanks for any tip!

ok, this is what did.
any idea why the replay is sometimes not perfect with original melody?

PS there’s transport and dac to activate on the right side

Hello,

I had a look at your patch but it was difficult to follow as it was very spread out. I tried something else just for mess about and to see how I might do something similar. It might suggest another to do it or maybe be of no use at all to you. I wonder did you look at the Max Tutorial on List Processing which is a very awkwardly named tutorial on manipulating sequencers and sequences.
