recording my patch

hello -

i have a patch with 3 sfplay objects and two qtmusic objects. i’d like to record them in real time to one audio file. recording the sfplay stuff it simple using sfrecord, but i’m unsure about the qtmusic becuase it’s midi.

i’m trying to use quickrecord to record it all but i’m not getting very far.

any ideas?

i’m running tiger and using maxmsp 4.3.

thnx.

sorry to bump this back up..

could someone just point me in the right direction?

i’ve gone through tutorials and am still lost.

is it perhaps too complicated for someone as green as myself?

thanks.

perhaps you could have a look at soundflower & detour.

I like them both in conjonction with audacity which retrieve an audiofile, but I’m not sure they could record quicktime.

It must have a solution I think.

thanks for the reply.

i will look into soundflower.

ultimately, i’m looking to keep the whole thing inside maxmsp if possible to keep it nice and clean. i love the sfrecord~ object for that reason. i’m creating a lot of melodies with quicktime music and would love to be able to record it all nice and quickly.

thanks again.
