basically I mapped the rotating of a sphere to a mouse pressed. whenever I let go of a bottom the shape stops rotating.

the problem is that once the sphere has rotated a lot, If I send a message such as

"position -0.018743 -0.014906 -0.014906" to the mesh it does not go back to the exact Initial! position I want , but rather reorients the rotated sphere to those coordinates.

Example - black sphere with red dot in the center,,,,, if I start rotating the sphere, the red dot is all over the place, this is cool. but when I send the message of the initial position (where the red dot was in the center) because the sphere has rotated the message just reorients the red dot somewhere else that is not the center or my initial point of view

I want to locate the sphere to the exact position I want regardless if the sphere rotated .
