Reducing Lag/Latency

February 2, 2012 | 5:55 pm

I am making a monome patch that launches clips using LiveOSC (easiest for me and what i want to accomplish) but am having major lagging/latency issues. Part of the patch assigns cliplaunch actions to a midinote, sends out the midinote to a clip to allow for recording or use of an arpeggitor. It then is sent back into the track and converted from a midi-note to a clip-launch action and launches the clip.

there is latency with and without this function. however recording it to a clip and launching it, or using an arpeggitor both show HUGE latency issues.

Question: Could anyone give me advice on what i can do to reduce the latency issues? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

I figured it out. LiveOSC had massive latency. I ended up doing something else to launch clips, it now has very very little latency that launching clips like drum-pads is amazing!
