referring to a folder on a non-boot disk

I’m using path -> thispatcher -> tosymbol -> prepend prefix ->
ubumenu to refer to a folder on my iPod. The path is OK, but ubumenu
it looks like it doesn’t understand the drivename. How do I refer to
a folder on a non-boot/Max disk?

Did you remember to check the ‘Auto-populate ubumenu’ option in the
ubumenu inspector?

Hi Jakob,

That’s not it, I think. I get an error in the status window telling
me the path is wrong. But it’s not.

On OS X, try some variant of “/Volumes/diskname/path” to get the actual mount point? Might need the boot disk name in front of it.

I came often enough across things like that, in the end Max was right
and I was wrong…

How do you get the path? I get it usually with dropfile or opendialog…

the clip below is in my clippings folder…

I just can say I never had a problem because a drive wasn’t the boot
drive…
Only if you need the correct Unix name you have to be carefull,
conformpath has not yet the unix-style implemented. I know it was on the
to-do list of cycling, but didn’t make it into the actual object…
