Im sending a lot of OSC messages and 2 or 3 regexp to identify and route certain messages.
Im noticing that regexp starts to choke after a while. Maybe its just the amount of messages its receiving but it definitely seems to slow down.
Are there any things to be careful of with regard to regexp and cpu/overloading? Or any alternatives (other than 3rd party objects)?
hi. i’ve never noticed this… i have regexps processing 100s messages pers sec with no issues
Thanks Lee. Its good to know regexp is efficient. I think Ive narrowed down the problem now to some JS that Im overloading. :/
