Long title, and it says it all: Is it possible to make sure key presses (from the keyboard) are registered in a patch, even when, say, a VST plug-in is the active window?

I have tried "All windows active", but no dice.

Managed to put something with "hi", though it proved more complicated than I first thought (had to filter out some bangs etc.).
