Relating to bangs and sensors

March 16, 2007 | 2:41 pm

Hey everyone,

I have a question about bangs in max. Basically I have linked a sensor up to max which takes analogue values from the sensor and converts it to numbers ranging from 0-1000. I would like to set it so that when the sensor value reaches a particular number (say 700) it will trigger a bang which will then trigger a soundfile. Presently I have set this up using a conditional statement, however this has the effect of sending a bang at the sample rate every time the value exceeds and stays above 700 which continously triggers the sound file. Is there anything I could use to make it just bang once?

Thanks!
