RemoteSL Template and Max Helper Patch

December 15, 2007 | 3:57 pm

I have made a Template for the RemoteSL and a Max Helper Patch that allows you to easily use the various buttons and sliders on the RemoteSL in Max.

The RemoteSL template must be uploaded to your RemoteSL. The max helper patch is comprised of two [bpatcher] objects. They show the current state of the RemoteSL and the [bpatcher]‘s outputs allow you to easily send the button and slider data on to objects in your own Max patches.

The template and max files can be found here:

Any comments or suggested improvements are welcome. Hope you find it useful.

Should have said the RemoteSL I’m referring to is a Novation Remote Zero SL.

Sweet! I have been meaning to do this too but have not
had time to figure out how to program the Remote SL.
I will give it a try and let you know.

Hey Mitch, I did not get the chance to say it but thanks
for putting this together it was very helpful. Do you know
if there is a way I can set the text on the RemoteSL? It would
be great to be able to set the text from a patcher.

From Novation Support…

——————————————-

We are currently working on Automap V2.0.

This is due for release soon, and will be followed shortly by the Automap V2.0
SDK.

Info on the SDK will be available with the v2.0 download.

Best regards,

Anthony,
I’m glad you like the patch. I’m not sure about sending text from Max to the Remote SL. I’ll try to see if I can figure out how.

I can’t wait to use this. Your patch was the tipping point for me to order a RemoteSL last week.

Too bad I don’t work for Novation. Maybe they’ll send me commission anyway.
