Resolution to a pwindow…

July 31, 2007 | 10:46 pm

Hello!

So I have a 640×480 jit.qt.movie feeding a 200×100 pwindow. Are there ways to scale down other than just feeding the pwindow that will save or resources? I’ve seen examples of doing this, but wondered if the operation happening now is just as or more efficient.

Thanks!

Rick

if you’re conerned about speed in a pwindow, here are a couple of suggestions

1) use speedlim
2) set the dstrect of pwindow to scale internally
3) use OpenGL in pwindow to display the video

Also, turn ‘use onscreen’ off.
