reverb

Hi, I am new to max, and I have read the help files on reverb but I do not understand them, is there a simple way to make and control reverb with a dial object. Thanks Wendy

Wendy,
You might find the abstraction "rev3~" easy to use. You can down load it here:

http://cycling74.com/toolbox/turner-rev3/

It is a pretty simple reverb that I adapted from a puredata patch.

Let me know if you need any help with it.

Forgot to say, after you unzip the file, there is a Test Patch you can open to see how it works. If you want to use the reverb in one of your patches, place the file "rev3~.maxpat" into the "patches" folder which is inside of the /Applications/Max6/ folder (assuming you are on OSX).

You can then use rev3~ like a regular object in Max. It is actually an abstraction but works like a regular max object.

Here is a tutorial on abstractions, it may help:

Also, see Noob4life’s response on this thread:

Hope this helps,
Mitch

Wendy,
I made a folder called abstractions, and I put that into the patches folder. So, the full path is:
/Applications/Max6/patches/abstractions

Glad this helped out,
Mitch
