ReWire HOST -> MAX -> HOST ?

Hey Guys…

Its my 6th day on the MAX5 demo…
By now i found out that once there was a MAX 4.6 and a thing called pluggo so you could save your patcher as VSTFX…
i also found out that you cant do this anymore..
but now you can rewire…

so my question is… i dont want or need to control my host with max..
i just want to get sound from my host (Renoise / Reason) into MAX, add effects to the sound, and send it back to my host.

Is this possible?

if so.. can i have a little hint.. where to find some tipps tricks tutorials?

i found the rewire essentials 1 and 2 here on the page, but they didnt answer my question

thanks for your time
d.

can’t do it.
provides endless hours of infuriation.
it’ll never change.
your options:
bounce your track and use SF play
switch to live and wait for a proprietary solution
use a different program to write plug ins
sit around and think everything is hopeless..

use a vst streamer plugin?

You can use vst plugins within MSP. Can you use them in reason? i cant remember!?

You could maybe rewire one way and stream it back the other? something along the lines anyway.

Am i right in thinking you can rewire audio only one way with max?

hey Im asking more questions than you! lol Razz but i hope i helped Smile

tuppesoft vst streaming works well. but you will induce latency.

you cant use vsts in reason, but reason is a slave anyway. renoise is the host, renoise knows how to handle vst.

ill give tuppesoft a shot later tonight.

thanks

If you get stuck finding a copy ( it is free) however, their site has been under maintenance for months ,or you cant find anything else. i have the same free tuppesoft copy , a few mega bytes in size i can email it you. :)
