rL patch by RDM_

I have found this patch called “rL” here: http://soundofrdm.blogspot.com/2009/11/rl-maxmsp.html

I don’t know how to reach the guy who made it, I’d like to thank him for sharing this, I really like that patch.

Now… can someone can explain to me how can I use that patch in M4L?

you can easily port it to M4L yourself – just open the .mxf, and copy all the patch-text, between (and including) the first { to the last } – about the first quarter of the text probably – then pasting into a new max-5-patcher or empty m4l-audio-device. after that you would need to tweek the layout and change all the controlling objects for live.-gui objects, exposing the live automation system.

HOWEVER, rdm has already made a beautiful port of his/her “randrum” object (called ‘RandruM4L’) to max for live, so chances are that if you contact rdm (via the web page you linked to) and ask nicely he/she will probably be working on a port anyway?

‘RandruM4L’ can be found here: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=112 – you can also contact the author by posting comments there…

Thank you for you reply.

Maxforlive.com will be the best to reach him I think because on his blog, there is no place to write a comment. Thanks for the cue!

Unfortunately, I’m very new to Max and tweek the thing for making it work in M4L is not in my capacity yet.

Thanks a lot!
