I've been scouring the forums for an answer, but haven't found anything definitive for this (relatively) simple task:

I have a matrix of 3D coordinates: float32 with 3 planes (x,y,z). These points represent target coordinates for boids in a swarming particle system, which is then rendered using jit.gl.sketch - there are about 10,000 boids. I'd like to be able to rotate this cloud of target coordinates around the origin, but can't work out the fastest way to do this. I have tried pushing the points into a jit.gl.mesh, rotating that, and using matrixoutput from the mesh, but can't get this to work (I can post a patch if required but I've read on the forums that matrixoutput doesn't work on jit.gl.mesh anyway...) so I'm wondering how else to go about this.

My knowledge of 3D matrix transformations is not good, and I intend to rectify this, but if I'm missing something simple here it would save me a lot of time!

How embarrassing. Shortly after posting that I found a solution, in the forums, which works perfectly. Many thanks to Yair Reshef for posting this and apologies for filling up the forums with unnecessary posts...

Thanks Rob - interesting to see those objects put to use - they're not ones I'm familiar with yet. However, with thousands of points to work with, the [jit.iter] slows things down dramatically, so for my particular case I think the old [jit.expr] route will work best.

i thought this was just for the target points, not the actual swarm?

It is just the target points - but there are 10,000 of them!
