I have a dial which goes from -2. to 2. and I want the output to be "stepwise" i.e to be e.g -2,-1.75,-1.5,-1.25,-1,-0.75,-0.5,-0.25,0,0.25,0.5,0.75,1.0,1.25,1.5,1.75,2

Any suggestions? I guess I can implement the logic in javascript or similar but I suspect there is allready some objects in max I can use?

I looked at it again and found a possible solution. Please let me know if you think of a better way of doing it?

you can even omit using scale here . if you change dial's "number of steps" to 401 , "minimum value" to -200 ,and use "float output" , you will have the same result
