Hi,
I’m working on a big patch at the moment. Part of it involves putting folders in via dropfiles. Each folder contains 4 sound files and 1 text file of data that stores information link to those sound files (it’s a quad sampler, so things like loop points, fade times, panning position, etc). I have it all working fine EXCEPT…

How can I make sure that the text file is routed to the coll and the sound files are routed to their sfplay~s?

I know there’s a simple way of doing this, but I just can’t remember! Possibly using ubumenu and prefixs? But I can’t get it to work.

Any help appreciated!

best

My god, what an idiot! I’d been sending [prefix types TEXT] to it, when I just needed [types TEXT].

SO that’s how to do it with ubumenu.

But the question still remains, how can I route different file types to different places without using a convoluted system of ubumenus… Is there an object like [route] or [sel]?

it should be simple, [dropfile] outputs the filetype of the file read, and that can
be used to route the path symbol using [gate].
