I am trying to measure the values for a pixel in a movie clip.

In particular I am interested in the variation of values over time, frame by frame. For all frames.

I have tried using lists but I am not sure it is the best way, in fact I have not idea how to find out how many frames there are beforehand.

What is the simplest and most effective way to store value over time and run statistics?

sampling values per pixel over a series of frames to find max and min.
