save Java-based external values with the patch?

Hello,

is it possible to make variables in an instance of a Java exterrnal persistent?

is it possible to save values of a Java-instance with the Max-patch. There is a pattr connection for java-script – is there anything like that for Java externals?

thanks

Hi Steff,

There’s not yet any pattr awareness in mxj.

Like Ben said there is no pattr connectivity for mxj.
However, depending on what you want to do the save() and embedMessages
() of MaxObject might help.
Other than that it would be pretty straight forward to implement a
mechanism purely in java to save
the state of your objects or create presets for them.
