i wan’t to save my vst and it’s settings with a patch. could you guys help me a bit?
i have an idea but i don;t know how to make it and maybe there’s an easier way?
my idea is to make a subpatch (with stereo in and out) with a vst~ object and a replace message attached to it. then i can load vst’s. somehow i would like to have a button wich i can click when i wan’t to save this loaded vst and it’s settings and then it needs to be saved automaticly and loaded automaticly when i load the patch again without havind to program the vst destination and it’s fxb file.
just like it works in for instance ableton live. you select a vst change it’s settings and it’s saved within your file.
would this be possible?

if you’re on max4 you can try my int.vst wrapper for vst~ which will work with the pattr family. It’s part of int.lib

http://www.olilarkin.co.uk

otherwise you could use trond lossius’s tl.vst.helper

http://www.bek.no/~lossius/download/

i have a new patch / script that is designed to do this, but it’s not working properly at the moment

For this reason I favour VST`s with few parameters, and make subpatches with every paremeter connected to dials, messages etc.

I havent checked out Larkin or Lossius solution though

If you make some nice patches for some vst`s , I would love to take a look at them !

Cheers
